Group description

The Intelligent Systems Research Group focuses on the development of advanced artificial intelligence, generative AI, and data analytics methods for solving complex real-world problems across a wide range of application domains. Its core expertise includes intelligent systems, machine learning and deep learning, large language models (LLMs) and generative AI with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, agent-based and multi-agent systems, real-time AI agent orchestration, computer vision, image processing and understanding, natural language processing, semantic technologies, operational research, and optimization. The group develops innovative AI-driven solutions for remote sensing applications, including optical and radar satellite image analysis, advanced GIS technologies, digital twins, environmental protection, and the management of complex systems. These solutions are applied in wildfire prevention and response, marine protection and the blue economy, tourism, healthcare, and intelligent document management. Research activities are supported by high-performance computing (HPC), cloud and edge computing technologies, and close collaboration with national and international research partners.
