Research at FESB is conducted by research groups of experts in common subjects. Groups operate in the fields of electrical engineering, computing, mechanical engineering and naval architecture, as well as interdisciplinary fields. Knowledge is particularly developed in renewable energy sources and hydrogen-based technologies, power electronics and embedded systems, robotics and automatization as well as signal, image and language processing with the application of artificial intelligence. There is also a strong expertise in measurement systems, testing materials, as well as modelling and simulations in naval architecture. Groups are open for collaboration with the industry, scientific institutions and other partners in common research and projects.
