The research group offers a wide range of collaboration opportunities with industry partners, shipyards, maritime companies, and research institutions in the field of naval arhitecture. The group is focused on development and application of advanced numerical tools for ship hydrodynamics and propulsion analysis, and design of advanced marine vehicles like AUVs and SWATH crafts. The group has developed novel meshless CFD methods (e.g. LDD method), tools for vessel geometry interpolation techniques based on Radial Basis Functions (RBF), and advanced numerical models that enable rapid and reliable hull-form optimization, hydroelasticity assessment, and fluid–structure interaction (FSI) simulations. These approaches are complemented by machine-learning methods for ship motion control. The group is also actively involved in the application of augmented reality technologies for ship production, outfitting, and inspection processes. Collaboration can be established through joint research and development projects, expert studies, consultancy and testing services, as well as joint applications for national and EU-funded projects related to sustainable and innovative shipbuilding and maritime technologies.
